Foster & Ince Cruise Services launches UK Tour Company
World Travel Market in London England saw the launch of Smile Caribbean Group Travel, which is a Joint Venture between Foster & Ince Group and two leading Tourism operators based in the UK.The platform of the Barbados pavilion at World Travel Market was the venue for the launch of this new UK based tour company.CEO of Foster & Ince Group, Martin Ince was very pleased to introduce and launch this new company at this prestigious global tourism event and proud to expand the Foster & Ince brand outside of the traditional Caribbean arena.“Over the years the Foster & Ince Group has expanded its Cruise operation brands to a number of Caribbean countries and we have wanted to set up a UK based Tourism operation for some time but were waiting on the right opportunity. We have found in Smile Caribbean Group Travel an innovative approach to Group travel into Barbados and the Caribbean region. The Managing Director, Graeme Walker and his UK based tour group are already proving to be excellent partner as they have an extensive knowledge of the sports tour business in the UK and has already firmed up a number of large Groups into Barbados in 2010“.

The company has been very well received by the Tourism decision makers and a special meeting was held with the Barbados Tourism Authority, the BHTA along with the key stakeholders from the BTA UK office.”Sports tourism and specialized group travel into Barbados has become a focus of the BTA initiatives and the 2010 calendar is filled with sports events and initiatives.

The Barbados Tourism officials attending the launch meeting included Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy, David Rice President of the BTA, Petra Roach Vice President of the BTA UK office, Permanent Secretary Andrew Cox, BHTA President Wayne Capaldi, BTA Director Levere Richards and Executive Vice President of the BHTA Sue Springer. They were informed of the initiative by Directors Martin Ince, Graeme Walker and Edward Ince.
