UWI CAVE HILL STUDENTS TOLD NO JAYWALKING NOR VISITING BATTS ROCK AFTER SUNSET

You are kindly asked to note that Campus Security as well as the Royal Barbados Police Force is advising students of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus not to venture to Batts Rock Beach anytime after 6:00 p.m. or sundown, which ever comes first. This is to ensure the safety of students on the Campus.

Additionally, caution must be taken when crossing the road during the day especially at night when persons take a risk by JAYWALKING. Persons are asked to use the pedestrian crossing wisely bearing in mind there is a signal allowing time for pedestrians to cross.

Jaywalking is an informal term used to refer to illegal or reckless pedestrian crossing of a roadway.
