Final call for participants in the Carmichael Prize exhibition: If you want to participate and haven’t signed up, pls. note that THE DEADLINE FOR DOING SO IS OCTOBER 31st!

The Zemicon Gallery hereby invites submissions for the 5th Carmichael Prize exhibition/competition, which is to open on December 6th. This year?s invitation is restricted to works by past or present Visual Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design and Art Education students of the Barbados Community College.

(Please note that the invitation is for fine art, not for graphic work)

Entries must not exceed 6? x 4? and must not be older than 5 years. The space does not permit for installation-art. If required by the limitations of space, the gallery reserves the right to pre-jury submissions.

The Carmichael Awards consist of two prizes:

1) the Public?s prize ? selected by vote from visitors to the exhibition

2) the Critic?s prize ? selected by a panel of art-critics Each prize is for BDS$ 1000.

Participants MUST indicate their intent to submit before the end of October and works MUST be in hand by December 1st.
