The C.O. Williams Construction Team advises you that single lane traffic is now in effect during weekdays between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on Highways 7 at Hastings facing the TGI Friday’s Restaurant where the driveway is being widened.
You are required to follow the instructions of the Flag Persons on site. Patrons to TGI Friday’s Restaurant can use the entrance on the western side, which is to the other side of the Barbados Pavilion. The delays should be minimal as this work is being done outside of rush hour traffic between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. weekdays ONLY.The section of Highway 6 between the Shell and Texaco stations at Wildey continues to be single lane traffic during the working day to allow for the accommodation of sidewalks, so delays are expected and everyone MUST drive with due care.Work also continues at Station Hill from Eastmond Corner at Upper Hindsbury Road to the eastern end of Powder Road which remains closed to traffic 24-7. In St. Philip, Market Road, is closed 24-7 for resurfacing. That is the road which runs from the western side of Foursquare to the four cross road at Mangrove. Work also continues at Cox Hill St. Philip and unless you live in the area, it is suggested that you avoid the connection from Kendal to Church Village, St. Philip.Paving work is now being done on Highway 5 east of Windsor to the Edgecumbe junction. Traffic continues to be diverted from the east at Six Cross Roads or Edgecumbe; and from the west at Lower Greys or the Windsor junction this week.
From Monday 14th, the extensive drainage work program on Highway 5 will be shifted to the section between Six Roads and the junction to Sunbury.
Traffic will therefore be diverted through Marchfield from next week. The residents within the effected area will be recognised by special identification and all other traffic will be diverted. The Transport Board buses will also be rerouted through Marchfield and Sunbury to rejoin Highway 5 in both directions.
The C. O. Williams Construction teams thank you for your understanding, cooperation and kind consideration as they move the earth to please.
