Please FWD to everyone you know in Barbados in hopes of reuniting with owner – SEMI BLIND DOG

We have named her DOLLY

This adult female was picked up on Monday 20 July 09 during the very heavy storm that passed over. She was on the road that runs from the traffic lights at Brittons Hill (other end of the Garrison) to the traffic lights – where if you cross these you are in Belleville. (Have a feeling this is called Culloden Road – but am not sure) This is the road where the National Insurance and British High Commission is.

DOLLY is probably between 4/5 years old – but in exceptional condition – clean, free of tics and fleas, unfortunately no collar. Has a touch of German Shepherd in her appearance, and is a beautiful blonde colour. Someone must know her – she is obedient – touch her nose and she sits! I would think she has been a “house” dog more so than a yard dog – but once she is in our paddock she takes off at a fair lick sniffing all the time.
Does bump into the wire fence but seems to negotiate anything else. Has ulcers (or glaucoma’s) in each eye and is definitely visually impaired – if not blind. Have sent pics to Alan Storey/RSPCA/David Walcott and Gus Reader as I had hoped that a vet would recognise her – she must have had some treatment for her eyes. Cannot see any operation scars for spaying.

Have had a tentative report that she might belong to the blind singer Ann-Marie Beckles – but cannot get her number.

Through your many contacts – could you please spread the word? Have already listed Dolly on FACEBOOK – but I am desperate to either find her owner or a good loving home. Dolly does mix with other dogs, providing they are not too rambunctious!!!!! DORIN BOYCE
