Calling All Barbadian Talent – The Return of Open Mic at Braddie’s Bar * SHAMELESS PLUG *

Open Mic is kicking again each Thursday at Braddie’s Bar, Dover, Christ Church. After taking a short break to allow new title sponsors Banks Beer to rebrand the interior and exterior of Braddie’s Bar, the Open Mic event will now have a whole new look and feel when music lovers and artistes return to the homebase that gave several undiscovered talent an opportunity to hone their skills and showcase their talents to an appreciable audience.

During the last series, Pyramid Entertainment was so impressed with the raw talent displayed by dancehall/reggae artist Prosperity Yout’ that they flew him to Jamaica to record with Big Yard Music and the talented music producer Richard “Shams” Browne. This led to the recording of some very promising tracks set to debut on local radio stations within the next few months. Prosperity Yout also now boasts an impressive electronic press kit and has undergone a series of artist development sessions in an effort to further improve his songwriting, performance and media skills.

At the end of this season’s Open Mic series, performers will be invited to a special showdown session which will be recorded and edited into a 23 minute entertainment programme featuring some of the highlights of Open Mic. There are only 10 slots available so don’t miss your opportunity to be amongst those selected.
