Just a few months after deciding on Jamaica’s newest rising star, Jamaicans will have a chance to hang with shining US stars at the fifth annual Caribbean Classic Celebrity Golf Invitational (CCGI) Tournament and Charity Event to be held June 24 – 28 in Montego Bay.

For the event, being hosted by the RISARC/CCGI Foundation, organiser Jamaican-born Richard Stephenson, has since its inception in 2005, feted an impressive list of participants including government officials, top business executives and A-list celebrities, the organisers said in a release. He has managed to use the therapeutic offerings of the island as an exchange for well-needed assistance for students of Jamaica’s primary schools.

Bill Bellamy, Cedric the Entertainer, Julius Irving, Steve Harvey, Chris Tucker, Anthony Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson Gunther, and Tony Siragusa have been consistent in supporting the event over the years. This year, the list includes Kevin “Hercules” Sorbo, John Salley, Cobi Jones, Ed Jones and Kiki Shepard, Cedric The Entertainer, Bill Bellamy, Eric Close (Without A Trace) and Matt Craven (Crimson Tide).
