Point Salines Airport Meet and Greet a Success ? Grenadian Resort plans extension of initiative to capture larger market

Prickly Bay Waterside is pleased to have partnered with Grenada’s Board of Tourism and other stakeholders in the Annual Christmas Meet and Greet Programme at the Point Salines International Airport. Prickly Bay Waterside sponsored the Christmas Meet and Greet Programme and is now in negotiations with the Board of Tourism and other stakeholders to have the programme continue into January and February 2009.

?Prickly Bay Waterside has recently completed a very successful Christmas Airport Meet & Greet, and is looking forward to a continued co-operative relationship with the Airport Authority, the Grenada Board of Tourism, and all of their respective employees,? said Sales and Operations Manager, Harrison Milborne. Milborne further stated that the continuation of the programme would be of great benefit to Grenada?s tourism product. ?We see this Meet and Greet as an important element in making visitors feel welcome to Grenada. We are currently working on a formula with the Board of Tourism and local businesses to have it continued into January, and potentially into February.?

?We are also interested in participating in other initiatives similar to the Meet and Greet. We will be speaking with the Board of Tourism about other opportunities to see how we can assist further. We at Prickly Bay Waterside have a firm commitment to community involvement, and we feel that we can continue to build on our already strong relationship with the Board of Tourism to benefit all of Grenada.? said Milborne.

Once negotiations are complete, the Meet and Greet programme will continue as early as this week.
