UNFPA Town Hall Meeting: “Reaching Common Ground: Culture, Gender and Human Rights”
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Family, Youth, Sports and the Environment, cordially invites the public to a Town Hall Meeting to launch the State of World Population 2008 report.The theme of this year’s report, which is published annually by UNFPA, is
“Reaching Common Ground: Culture, Gender and Human Rights.”The Feature Address will be delivered by the Honourable Dr. Esther Byer-Suckoo, Minister of Family, Youth, Sports and the Environment.
There will be a theatrical presentation and a panel discussion to follow with the following individuals serving as panelists:
? Mr. Hamilton Lashley, Member of Parliament, Barbados.
? Ms. Varia Williams, Actress.
? Ms. Cecilia Babb, Executive Director, Caribbean Policy
Development Centre.
? Mr. Corey Lane, Youth Advocate.
Venue: St. Gabriel’s School, Henry’s Lane, Collymore Rock, St. Michael.
