Quest by Blogging Contributor to make Christmas special for Pediatric Ward at QEH of Barbados continues apace

Rene Holder has been a consistent and regular contributor for this News-Blog almost from its inception. Now, he needs help – not for himself, but little children who for medical reasons may have to spend Christmas at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, he gives an update on his quest –

BYDC (Barbados Youth Development Council) are on board and some of the gifts collected will also go to kids that are attending a Christmas party they are planning for the 13 of December. The BYDC Christmas party is for children that took part in their camps and various other programs. Most of these kids are from single parent families or disadvantage homes.

I have a confirmed date of December 14 where we will put on a party for the children in ward C8. So far Dykon Development and BYDC are helping with the party. Gifts collected from the drive will be given to the kids at this party.

An official announcement for the gift drive will be made when I have conformation of all the collection / drop off points. Looking to make an official announcement about the drive by the end of this month

If any of you would like to volunteer in any way to make both events a success. Please feel free to email me at my Gmail account.
