As you may recall, approximately eighteen months ago a call for assistance went out on behalf of David Sealy, who requires ongoing physiotherapy as a result of unsuccessful spinal surgery which left him with little or no mobility in his arms and legs.

With the aid of generous donations he was able to obtain that therapy and has made remarkable progress in that he is now able to brush his teeth, stand with some help, read the newspaper and make telephone calls. Enclosed are some photographs taken by one of his therapists.

Unfortunately, the therapy had to be stopped when all available funds were tapped out. Worse yet, plans for him to undergo remedial surgery in Trinidad, which, based on the prognosis, would facilitate the return of normal use of him arms and legs, also had to be deferred. Apparently, the surgeon who performed the first operation here was unable to provide a requisite letter, with which David would have been able to get the necessary treatment in Trinidad, free of cost.

As a result, that treatment will now cost approximately thirty-five thousand ($35,000.00) dollars for the surgery alone, plus an as yet undetermined amount to cover therapy etcetera, during the post-operation convalesce period, all of which David needs to raise as soon as possible.

This is where we come in. Just like before, we need to do it again; that is, to lend him financial support and soon. You see, in addition to his physical incapacity, David suffers from bouts of depression – which is not surprising for someone who has been in this situation for the past six years ? and ever new setback adds to that burden.
