“CLOSE OF PLAY” – Not your regular cricket bar, Banks Girls on Friday!

For those of you who like to let your hair down on a Friday, rather than Oistins why not head over to Westbury Road?

Just before you reach the traffic lights towards Westbury Cemetery and right next to one of the ubiquitous Sawh shops is “Close Of Play” there since February 2007 to cash in on the Cricket World Cup – it’s just a few houses off from St Leonard’s Church and diagonally opposite the one-time Pickwick Gap.

It has much sports memorabilia suited for a proper Museum – autographed sketches or photos and even old time matches from the 80’s with Ian Botham or Richie Richardson and the like.

They have a huge DVD projection wall where you can also see music videos from Jamaica or old time love ballads apart from the test series!

This Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 am you can grab four beastly-cold Banks beers for nine dollars! Plus giveaways and cute chicks…

If all of that bores you to death, and you want a chance to make a fast buck? There are also games of chance as well, LOL!
