JAMAICA’S “LIGHTNING” BOLT TO APPEAR ON DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW IN UNITED STATES

Olympic track and field gold medalist Usain Bolt will make his first appearance on the ?Late Show with David Letterman? on September 24, 2008, in New York City.

This will be Bolt?s first talk-show appearance and his first appearance ever on late-night television, he’s also been invited to train with Spanish football giants Real Madrid.

Bolt won three gold medals and broke three world records at the Olympics in Beijing, China, and is called the ?Fastest Man Ever.?

Bolt said he was definitely looking forward to attending the training sessions with Real Madrid and was especially looking forward to meeting former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

?They have invited me to train with them. I?ll definitely go. I think Ra?l and Van Nistelrooy are some of the best goal-scorers ever,? said Bolt.

?I?ve watched Van Nistelrooy from when he was with Manchester United, so I know he?s a great guy.?

Bolt returned to Jamaica earlier this week to a lavish reception, headed by Prime Minister Bruce Golding, Sports Minister Olivia ?Babsy? Grange and other officials.
