BARBADOS CONTINUES TO SLUG IT OUT AGAINST THE GIANT AFRICAN SNAIL: TOWN HALL MEETING THU. FOR ST. GEORGE RESIDENTS

With St. James residents salting away the success of a recently-concluded Giant African Snail hunt, residents of Cottage Grove, Bridgecot, Old Post Office and Belair in St. George are being invited to attend a Town Hall Meeting to discuss the eradication or control of this pest in their districts.

It will be held Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 PM, at the Belair Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Residents of the aforementioned areas should make a special effort to attend the educational meeting which will be convened by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with District Emergency Organisations.

A series of snail hunts are being planned as the Ministry steps up its eradication programme.
