$ilver $$ For Children 2008 will be going ahead in earnest once more… This will the fourth year of the first five years of this Kiwanis Club of Bridgetown Project.

This year, there will be a change in location of the event as we plan to hold the event around Independence Square, but we will be going back to Bay Street for year number five 2009 with a big celebration.

The new route for 2008 will follow the sidewalks of the entire perimeter of Independence Square, over both bridges, to form a continuous circle for a distance of one mile. All eight charities and other activities will now be concentrated within the Square.

Entertainment featuring John King and other headliners will be focused within the confines of the area. Impact to traffic will be reduced to a minimum as there will be no direct contact with the coins in the road on this occasion.

Please make a special effort to attend this event, as the media, government officials, corporate sponsors, contributors and special guests will be in attendance as we once again will be reaching out to the people of Barbados to help the children.
