I think John Lennon once said Life is what happens while you’re busy making plans… So true, I had a lot on my plate for this week and still have much to do, but Deborah Callender’s recent passing disrupted me much like Terry Mayers’ transition did…

That is one of my features to come actually – so, in the days ahead? June will be chock full o’features, such as the class I took with Debbie and hosted by Professor George Lamming – a true eye-opener!

Machel Montano plans to get scholarly about Kadooment, we’ll tell you why he gave Canada the heave-ho for this year’s revelry…

A book review is in order on Alvin Cummins’ “The Royal Palms are Dying,” a look at Barbadian events with a twist – his launch for this thriller is coming soon!

Alvin’s treatise on Barbadian skulduggery is not the only book review coming, there’s a look at DJ Simmons’ CD & tome – “Riddim & Flo 2” and in the album, many musicians help the poetry jump off the page!

Sculptor Bill Grace and a South Coast restaurant have joined forces to create a new dimension in running an art exhibit, you’ll also learn who is a big influence to Bill…

Also planning to examine the rawness that was the latest Mot Juste event at Limelight Cafe, and what were the consequences? Who did a guest slam? Ugh!

And if there is enough June left, a scope on some Bajan film-makers using YouTube to promote their efforts…
