[U P D A T E] Launch of the Celtic Festival NOW on Friday 23 May at Barbados’ British High Commission

The fun has been postponed for a week now – folks, Scottish pipers will eventually appear at the British High Commission in Lower Collymore Rock to perform a number of jigs, reels and laments.

They’ll be launching the 2008 Celtic Festival on May 23rd and not the 16th as just mentioned shortly, the event once in full swing – will feature artistes from all around the Celtic world, including fiddlers, singers as well as a harpist.

It’s hoped that Mrs Ruth Williams, the director of the Celtic Festival, will still be on hand at the event to greet the pipers (next week Friday and not today) and to describe the week’s cultural programme.
