The play was written and performed by Victor Richards. The play is set in the present, but explores recent history from the 1950?s onwards. In his one man show, Victor Richards explores African-Caribbean migration, and themes of hope, identity and change. The story line of ?Streets Paved with Gold? weaves together a thrilling and informative picture of the collective experiences of Black British Citizens resulting from their new surroundings.

Rami Bar-Niv one of Israel?s most acclaimed and sought-after pianists. He travels extensively and has become an international citizen concertizing all over the world. Busy with a concert career, He started devoting more time to composing music later in life. Often sent abroad by the Foreign Ministry to represent Israel in concerts, he has become an ambassador of goodwill for Israel. Rami Bar-Niv will be performing in Barbados for the 60th Anniversary of the State of Israel under the patronage of His Excellency the Ambassador Mr. Shlomo Cohen and in conjunction with the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination, UWI ? Cave Hill Campus.

John Barry Fundraiser, Saturday, May 17th, 2008 at the Plantation Theatre featuring The Merrymen, Masala and Splashband, plus MC Samud Ali, DJs Ray Bayley, and South Central DJs Bubbles, Rebel, and Chilly and the Plantation Dancers. This concert is aid of John Barry, former radio personality in Barbados who has suffered two severe strokes in 2006 and 2007. Funds and pledges generated by this fundraiser will provide a means of subsistence for John in the years ahead through a fund established on his behalf at First Caribbean International Bank, Rendezvous. Tickets: $50
