Nothing says summer in Montreal like the cool rhythms of reggae music during one of the city?s most celebrated festivals. The Montreal Reggae Festival celebration is back for a fifth consecutive year at the Quays of the Old Port of Montreal and as always promises an international mix of reggae superstars including top artists from the home of reggae music ? Jamaica!
Headliners for 2008 include: STEEL PULSE, MORGAN HERITAGE (back by popular demand), JUNIOR KELLY, WARRIOR KING as well as upcoming phenomenon MIDNITE BAND, and a special after-party live performance at the new House of Reggae showbar by the original bad boy CALTON COFFIE (formerly lead singer of Inner Circle; songs such as ?A la-la, la-la, long?? and ?Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha? gonna? do??).
Stay tuned for other Reggae Festival activities at various showbars in the Quartier Latin (St-Denis Street and surrounding areas)!
