Ice Hockey In Barbados: The Ultimate Sens Army Hockey Road Trip – Lands in Barbados

Operation Barbados, the ultimate Sens Army hockey road trip, landed Tuesday in sunny Bridgetown, Barbados, to begin a four-day hockey experience.

Team owner Eugene Melnyk personally welcomed 200 Senators fans as they prepared to watch tonight’s Sens game at Bert’s Bar, the island’s hottest sports bar and restaurant. The trip marks the largest contingent of Ottawa Senators fans to invade Barbados.

All trip participants will join Melnyk for two televised Sens games at Bert’s. The Senators hosted the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday before they set off to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs tomorrow Thursday 2nd.

Special thanks are bestowed upon air carrier Zoom Airlines in addition to the Barbados High Commission in Canada. In conjunction with Zoom, the Commission arranged for medical equipment and supplies to be shipped on the Operation Barbados flight for future use at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados’s largest medical facility.
