Twenty-20 Cricket match in Miami to have Barbados’ Queen of Soca as Headliner

A quick peep at the South Florida Caribbean News site, shows how 20/20 cricket is catching on in the USA real fast and just like half-time at Super Bowl, the matches offer a chance for Caribbean stars to blaze forth like our very own Alison Hinds –

Ky-mani Marley, son of legendary Reggae Icon Bob Marley, will pay a special tribute to his dad by singing the song “Dear Dad” a letter he wrote to his Dad after he passed when Ky-mani was just a child; he later composed the letter into a song, which became a big hit. Ky-mani will also cover some of Bob?s greatest hits…

Reggae Queen Marcia Griffiths will be on hand to reel out hits after hits, with a special segment uniting all nations in dance with her mega hit “The Electric Slide, Boogie Woogie Woogie“. This masterful performer a 30 ? year veteran toured with the great Bob Marley, as one of the “I-Three?s“, will be a treat to the multicultural audience expected at this event.

There are also demonstrations of chutney music and a Florida band covering top reggae and soca hits for the crowd as well.
