Reasoning with Heru – IRON SHARPEN IRON: Shameless Plug/Promotional
by AirBourne / March 6th, 2008
Anyone who came out to “Echoes of the Ancestors” and “Poetry as Prophecy” would have realised that our featured artist, Heru, is more than a light hearted poet. He is a heavy hitting, lava spitting verbal volcano. He is a teacher, philosopher and activist as well as a lyricist.
If you would like to get into the mind behind the lyrical mastery, deeper into the philosophy behind the poetry… you’ll have your chance.
Come to the Israel Lovell Foundation, My Lords Hill, St. Michael, on Friday, March 7th at 7 p.m. Heru will vibe with the public on the artform of spoken word poetry and his personal journey and philosophy as a pan-African artist.
Much thanks to everyone who came out to receive the poetry of Heru, D.J, Adrian and friends at “Echoes of the Ancestors” and “Poetry as Prophecy,” from Khemit Konnections, Iron Sharpen Iron and the Commision for Pan African Affairs.
