Art teachers from the island?s primary and secondary schools are set to benefit from the upcoming Audio Visual Aids Department?s (AVAD) Art Education Resource Materials Workshop.

Scheduled to take place during the Easter vacation, the workshop aims to introduce teachers to the AVAD’s ?Seeing Art? concepts that have been captured on DVD. Sessions will explore some of the ways in which the content of this art education television series can be used to enhance teaching and learning as well as to develop an appreciation for the Visual Arts.

Teachers may attend one session from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on either Monday, April 7; Tuesday April 8; or Wednesday, April 9.

Interested persons must register on or before Tuesday, April 1, by calling Audio Visual Aids Officers, Arlette St. Hill at 430-2482 or Gale Gooding at 430-2985. Information may also be obtained by contacting the AVAD Resource Centre at 430-2847.
