Island Stubs, the Caribbean first on-line ticketing solution has been lauded by the promoters of the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival for helping to make the festival a success.

Since late 2007 Island Stubs enabled patrons who wanted to attend the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival through its website.

Recently Island Stubs began selling tickets for the Reggae Academy Awards. This is an annual music industry awards project that seeks to recognize and celebrate the artistic achievements of not only talented musicians and singers from the local and international Reggae music communities, but also important behind-the-scenes contributors such as producers, songwriters, engineers and music video directors.

The Reggae Academy Awards 2008 will be held at the National Indoor Sports Centre – Kingston, Jamaica and is presented by Recording Industry Association of Jamaica (RIAJam)

The Recording Industry Association is very pleased to be able top collaborate with Island Stubs to make tickets available for on-line purchase to Reggae fans who wish to attend the awards,” Lloyd Stanbury, RIAJam Representative & Reggae Academy chairman stated, “For several weeks now we have been receiving calls from persons outside of Jamaica about the availability of tickets and through Island Stubs these persons will now be able to secure their tickets on-line.”

Island Stubs has partnered with the RIAJam in an effort to further promote the Caribbean. Through this effort Island stubs has reaffirmed it commitment to Caribbean culture.

Island Stubs is also selling tickets for two events in Trinidad. Island Stubs has available, tickets for ‘ Sunny Side Up III‘ which is a Premium All Inclusive Breakfast Party to be held on Sunday February 3rd 2008 as well as ‘Break Biche‘ presented by Overeasy Promotions with C.I.N Network. ‘Break Biche‘ which is also a Premium All Inclusive Party and will be held on February 1 2008 in Tucker Valley – Chaguaramas, Trinidad & Tobago.

We are extremely happy about the success of our ticketing systems at Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2008,” Noelle Nicholls, Director of Planning and Development also noted, “We are looking into the year ahead with great excitement as we continue to stretch ourselves across the Caribbean. So far we sold 100 per cent of the tickets allocated from our Trinidad partner. We are also committed to maintaining our position as market leaders in on-line ticketing“.
