Cupid took aim at Nevis? Legislators set aside politics for matchmaking
Cupid took aim at the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) on Valentines Day this year, as they distributed hundreds of fresh cut red and pink single stem roses to the women folk of Nevis, in keeping with the annual worldwide celebration of love and affection.
Area representatives with the assistance of volunteers throughout the island began their surprise personal deliveries as early as Wednesday night and continued throughout Thursday to the amusement of hundreds of happy women. Their reactions varied from hugs and beaming smiles to expressions of surprise at the gesture.
The Department of Information was present in the St. Paul’s Parish with Hon Robelto Hector and in the St. Johns Parish with Deputy Premier Hon. Hensley Daniel and captured these pictures which reflected reactions islandwide.
