“Arts Happenings In Barbados” witnesses Modern-Day miracle as one armed man sails around Barbados

My thanks to Corrie Scott for her appreciation of heroism! Now folks, please remember… The Bajan Reporter only looks at popular stories when another unusual angle can be provided such as this, here’s what the talented and sensitive artist said in words and pictures

As I watched Andrew Burke sail past home and come around Batts Rock on his last lap, I bawled with pride.

Could not see through my camera lens at one point. I cheered even though he could not hear me.
I am humbled by his feat. He sets and example to us all.

He did it to raise funds and awareness for cancer. The Cancer Society exceeded its expectations of donations.

But this does not mean they do not need more. Please, take a minute now and write a cheque, even if for a few dollars, in tribute of Andrew Burke and his amazing feat and send it to The Cancer Society.

Takes minutes. Saves lives. It may be yours.
