No Joke Entertainment in association with VP Records will present in February the ?Education is No Joke? school tour.

The school tour is motivational in the sense it will re-unite some of Jamaica?s popular artistes with their alma maters.

The main aim of the “Education Is No Joke” school tour is to sensitize students as to the importance of a good education. It is acknowledged that many students look up to entertainers as role models and entertainers play a great role in the socialization of students. No Joke entertainment thought that based on this reason it would be good to plan a school tour will a difference.

The ?Education is No Joke? school tour will surprise the students of particular high schools with the appearance of one famous entertainer from that school.

Each week, one artiste will visit their former high school and speak to students on the value of excelling in academics and how their level of education will impact their chances for success in the world.

Prizes will be given to the most improved students and these prizes will be presented by the artistes themselves with opportunities for photographs and autograph signings.

No one will know when the entertainer will appear at a particular school as it is meant to be a surprise. Several artistes have already confirmed their appearance on the tour, these include: Busy Signal, Sean Paul, Macka Diamond, Cecile, Voicemail, Daville and Assasin. These artistes have faced significant challenges but have overcome them and are presently on top of their game and as such will provide a positive influence to the students of their former schools.

Artistes will inspire students through honest interactive conversations but there will be no performances.

?What sets this tour apart from all the others is that it?s not about entertainment but a message,” Yolan Zanders, Marketing Manager at VP Records Jamaica comments, The artistes will get an opportunity to directly influence some of his/her young fans in a positive way.?
