DOUBLE-HEADACHE RE – TRAFFIC TOMORROW: SCHOOL RESUMES & CONSTRUCTION STARTS AGAIN ON THE ABC HIGHWAY

WITH the resumption of construction on the ABC Highway, after a break for Christmas, motorists are being urged to drive within the required speed limit and with caution.

George Siddall, project manager of 3S Barbados S.R.L, the company responsible for the proposed flyover project, explained that, in keeping with schedule, workmen from Rayside and C.O. Williams were back on the job in full force from January 2.

?Motorists would have been enjoying a diversion free four lane stretch from the D?Arcy Scott (Simpson) to Emancipation (Bussa) roundabouts for approximately two weeks.

?Now that the work has restarted, motorists will still enjoy the use of four lanes on most of this stretch, however there will be some disruption at different times as we complete other aspects of the project.

?As a result, we are appealing to motorists to drive carefully in the interest and safety of all and to comply with directions provided as work continues for the Barbados Road Network Infrastructure Improvement Project ? ?Operation Free Flow?,? Siddall said.
