BARBADIAN DECISION 2008 – STUDENTS ENJOY DAY OFF & VOTING STATIONS GET CYBER-READY

Barbados’ Education Ministry is letting folks know that next Tuesday 15th January 2008 is when all primary and secondary schools including the Barbados Community College and the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic, will be closed and transformed into temporary polling stations for general elections.

Bajans who plan to vote next Tuesday can now view where they are required to vote at the click of a mouse.

That’s because Polling Stations for the January 15 poll are now online at the Barbados Integrated Government Portal.

According to an official of the Electoral and Boundaries Commission, voters can access the information via the Barbados Government Information Service’s website.

After clicking on the ?View Polling Station Information? link under the Directory of Services Section, persons must then enter their National Registration Number. Afterwards, click the search button and the respective Polling Station will be displayed.
