TICKETS FOR AIR JAMAICA JAZZ FESTIVAL FOR SALE ONLINE WITH ISLANDSTUBS.COM
One of the Caribbean’s largest music festivals will go live this year with online ticketing at Island Stubs. The brand-new service, is the official online sales outlet for the upcoming 11th annual Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival 2008, now tickets have been for sale since December 11.
The partnership between IslandStubs.com and Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues comes at the heels of the launch of the public education campaign for the Electronic Transactions Act (ETA). The ETA is billed to provide the legal framework to enable e-commerce to grow in Jamaica.
Basil Smith, Director of Tourism, of the Jamaica Tourist Board observed, “Online ticketing is a definite niche that is unlikely to be capitalized by the dominant international players. Island Stubs will be offering ‘Will Call‘ tickets for the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival 2008. With ‘will call‘ tickets, event patrons have the convenience of purchasing tickets online and collecting them at the gate on the day of the event.
A new and innovative business concept, IslandStubs.com is the first online box office offering specialised services to Caribbean events that market overseas. Starting December 11, IslandStubs.com will sell tickets for the Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival.
