Barbadian kicks butt and earns two gold at Taekwondo Toronto Open in Canada

Barbadian Bernard Lorde earned two gold medals at the Toronto Open Taekwondo Championships, Canada.

Barbados, USA, Cuba and Canada competed against each other.

He won all of his five matches to clinch his gold medals at the Toronto open.

Three of them were against some top US fighters who came over for the competion. Hopefully this was a good warm up for California (These photos are from earlier this year at the team trials in Ottawa where he earned silver. The action shot is of him defeating the current National Champion in his division. So far this season he has started with a gold in the featherweight division at the 1st provincial teamtrial in October, and at the Toronto Open he won five matches on his way to capturing gold again).

The Barbados Taekwondo Association are also heading for the Paris Open, from there to Cuba and then to California before the week is through.
