The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) in collaboration with Goddard Enterprises will host the second and final adult workshop entitled ?The Poem- Off and On the Page? on 17th November 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the University of the West Indies, Lecture Room 6, CLICO Teaching Centre (behind Faculty of Law).This one day workshop will address the differences in performance poetry and page poetry, and address the strategies and techniques to employ to change your work from page to stage or vice versa.
The event will target artists generally but will be of specific benefit to persons participating in the 2007 and beyond National Independence Festival of Creative Arts in genres of Literary Arts, other writing competitions, spoken word or publishing opportunities and aspirations. This workshop can also facilitate writers who may also have the inspiration to enter the performing arts arena through drama/speech.
The NCF would like to extend an invitation to you to enhance your personal growth and development by participating in this workshop. Persons interested in literary arts will have the opportunity to hone their skills through interactive sessions with Tutor, Literary and Theatre Artist, Winston Farrell. Winston in this workshop will give you the know-how, to stimulate the practical and create the stage for your work to share with your peers at this session. Please bring your work with you!
