LAST CHANCE IN HALF A DECADE – CARIBBEAN BALLROOM & LATIN REGIONAL DANCE CLASICS AMATEUR COMPETITION (Next Shameless Plug/ Promo)

Thanks to regular contributor Rene Holder, we have a few quick words from Dr Raymond Maughan on an exciting event this weekend!

This is to update you on the latest status of what will be the last Regional competition for another 4 to 5 years. After the event, the competition will move from country to country (Trinidad, Tobago, Antigua and Guyana) before it returns to Barbados.

We would like to thank you all for your tremendous support at this point and coming out in your numbers to produce what is shaping up to be the biggest dance competition ever put on in Barbados.

We hasten to beg your further indulgence by asking you to not only come out yourselves on the day of the competition but to encourage your friends to come and witness yet another phase in the development of dance.

The Competition starts at 5pm on October 6th 2007, at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium. The packed program like most of our local competitions should last 5 to 6 hrs. We have not reached the 12 hr marathons that are common in Europe but we have an exciting package none the less. Even if can only attend part of the competition, I am sure that you will leave feeling better for having been there.
