?Asthma in Barbados?
will be the topic for discussion when the Winston Scott Polyclinic holds a lecture/discussion on Friday, November 2, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the clinic.
President of the Caribbean Allergy and Respiratory Association, Dr. Malcolm Howitt will lead the discussion.
The incidence of asthma is of growing concern to Barbadians and as a result the Winston Scott Polyclinic recently initiated an Asthma Awareness Programme to assist patients in the management of the illness. Through lectures, exhibitions and literature, the clinic aims to encourage individuals to learn more about the illness and the available treatment and care programmes.
While the upcoming lecture targets those living with asthma, caregivers and family members are also urged to attend and get involved in understanding the illness.
