Health Ministry of Barbados tells the Aedes Aegypti mosquito to Fog Off

The Ministry of Health is resuming its fogging programme so Barbados can fog off the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.

Christ Church and St Michael will be fogged up from Tuesday, September 4 to Friday, September 7, from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, September 4, these Christ Church districts will get totally fogged – Enterprise, Ealing Park North, Chancery Lane North, Wilcox Terrace, Wilcox Land and their environs.

The following day, Wednesday, September 5, the foggers will return to Christ Church and fog up Chancery Lane, Chancery Park, Old Chancery Lane, Seaview, Chancery Lane South, Inch Marlowe, Walls Tenantry, Ealing Park South and surrounding districts.

Fogging will continue on Thursday, September 6, in the Christ Church districts of Chancery Lane South, Seaview Road, Park Road, Golden Plover Development, Ealing Grove Gardens, Smith Corner, Silver Sands, Breedy Road, Round Rock and environs.

By Friday, September 7, it’s St. Michael that’s in for some serious fogging – at Wildey Road, East Terrace, Wildey Gardens, Barclays Park, Wildey Industrial Park, South Meadow, North Meadow, 1st ? 6th Ave. North Meadow, Rock Close, Rock Avenue and surrounding areas.

Bajans are reminded to help fogging off the Aedes Aegypti mosquito by opening all windows and doors to allow the fog to enter.

Pedestrians and motorists should be cautious when encountering the fogging operations on the street and persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.

  1. I hope they get round to Bathsheba/St Elizabeth Village soon, we have these stripey so and so’s everywhere ( no water anywhere, spray, coils etc), and not a mosquito to be seen after dark…….
