BIDC Supports International Reach of Local Entertainment and Media Industry

The initiative of the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) to support the international reach of Barbadian companies interested in exporting products and services has made it possible for ALT Entertainment to expose its product offerings to a wider audience, while moving the country closer to its target of $1 billion in exports by the year 2012.

ALT Entertainment, producers of the popular TV show ?Roamin?, the Boomtribe radio show and other well-known products such as Push2 and txtPay, was one of more than 25 exporting companies which participated in the Barbados Expo 2007 at the La Guardia Crowne Plaza Hotel in New York.

The producers participated at the show thanks to sponsorship from the BIDC. The expo attracted an audience from across New York and abroad.

The Barbados Investment and Development Corporation in collaboration with the Barbados Manufacturers Association and the Barbados Coalition of Services Industries hosted the expo, which gained exposure for Barbadian businesses on the international market.
