Barbados Defence Force to host Summer Camp this month

Commander David Dowridge, Acting Chief of Staff Barbados Defence Force (BDF), will address the participants of ?Camp Energy?, the BDF sponsored two week Summer Camp at 9:00 AM on Monday, 20 August at The Main Guard, Garrison, St Michael.

The aim of the camp is to foster a good working relationship within the BDF family network, provide an educational environment through fun activities and enhance the skills of early childhood educators within the Force.

The camp which is organised by the Force?s Morale and Welfare Committee will cater for children, of BDF employees, between the ages of five and 14.

Camp activities will begin at 8:00 AM end at 3:30 PM daily and will include tours to places of interest, sporting activities, storytelling, arts and craft.

Additionally, campers will be exposed to basic military life through hands-on experiences and observation, and be encouraged to foster team spirit and co-operation through play.
