One of the main guests at the recent opening of the new Savvy?s Restaurant at Mount Cinnamon was Grenada’s Public Works Minister Brenda Hood (she’s also ex-Tourism Minister) who said the debut of Savvy and the completion of Mt. Cinnamon shows that Peter de Savary was keeping his commitment to Grenada. She also described Savvy?s Restaurant as impressive and called it a boost for Grenada?s tourism product.
Patrons have already fallen in love with Savvy?s, its ambiance food and service. One of the comments in the guest book notes, ?Visually the restaurant is a real eye opener, full of West Indian color and spice, the staff is warm and friendly, the service is excellent and the food is world class, it was a great experience?
The inauguration featured a six course gourmet menu, jazz and blues band and a magnificent fireworks display to end an enjoyable evening.
The menu was delightful; Homemade tartlet of tomato and goat cheese with a thyme parmesan crust; Shrimps marinated in coconut milk, ginger and lemongrass served in cucumber boats; Roasted tenderloin of beef saut?ed in olive oil and rosemary served with stir fried broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and sweet potatoes puree, were just some of the dishes on offer.
What’s also special about Savvy?s is that every table has a spectacular view. Even while sitting at the bar one has an amazing panorama including the two and a half mile Grand Anse beach, lush tropical hills and mountains and the lights of historic St. George?s town.
Savvy?s Restaurant and pool bar is open for dinner 5 days a week Thursday – Monday. When stopping by in Grenada, you dial 43-SAVVY to make your reservations!
