Children under 13 years old will be admitted free to The AJA Let the World Unite Concert, and all other students will be admitted for $25 – but if the children are under 13 then they must be accompanied by an adult.

The Concert will focus on peace and related issues that contribute to conflict such as poverty. AJA will also perform works that refer to the threat of the environment and HIV/AIDS. It is for this reason that he has offered the gesture to the youth.

Aja added the youth are our future and if they develop a consciousness of peace, we could stop a lot of the violence that is taking over the world. ?It is therefore crucial to have as many young people as possible to experience The Concert.?

The AJA Let the World Unite Concert comes off on Thursday, April 26 at the Plantation Garden Theatre, St. Lawrence Main Road, Christ Church at 9 p.m. It features the performance poet and humanitarian with an eight-piece band of musicians and singers. He will also be joined during his 90-minute performance by dancers.

The UNDP Spokesperson has guaranteed patrons an uplifting but engaging; and an entertaining but absorbing concert. He said that artistically, it is going to be of an international standard with some of Barbados? top young jazz musicians as well as dancers appearing on stage with him.

The line-up is Lowrey Worrell ? Musical Director, keyboards and vocals; Melvin Alick ? drums; David ?Ziggy? Walcott ? pan and percussion; Paul Murrell ? bass; Richard Smith ? congas and percussion; Brad Florent ? guitar; and Janelle Headley & Nakita Browne ? vocals.

Admission to The Concert is $60 Barbados Dollars and tickets are available from C.S. Pharmacy, Broad Street; A&B Soundz, Sheraton Mall; and the Plantation Garden Theatre, St. Lawrence Main Road, Christ Church.
