The day started out slowly. However, as the day progressed, several world records fell at the 2007 Barbados World Record Festival held at the National Stadium on Saturday March 31st.

Rommell Griffith and Maria Rowe set a record in a new event, the
100m three – legged sprint of 25.98 seconds

3. Fastest 100m one-legged sprint ? 15.57 seconds
Rommell Griffith broke the record for 100m three-legged sprint set
by Barbadian Andre Miller after they went head to head. Rommell
Griffith?s new world record in this event was 15.57 seconds.

4. Fastest time to eat a raw onion ? 48 seconds

Special thanks to sponsors and volunteers. Because of you the festival was a success. Three world records were broken and a new record was set. Sadly, the monetary goals to conduct our children programmes were not achieved – this means they’ll be trying again.
