Follow-Up: Gore heads “Live Earth” – fights Global Warming

Remember Al Gore and Richard Branson teamed up to encourage scientists to stop Global Warming? It’s gone one step further – The former Vice President, along with a host of celebrities, has launched an effort to raise climate change awareness that will include a music concert on all seven continents. So set your diaries for July 7th, that’s when “Live Earth” with Korn, Kelly Clarkson, Red Hot Chili Peppers & Sheryl Crow among others to participate – even as far away as Antarctica!

Gore announced on Thursday that on July 7th, ?The Live Earth? concerts will be held in Shanghai, Sydney, Johannesburg, and London. In addition, the concerts will also take place in cities in Brazil, Japan and the United States. There is also a concert planned in Antarctica.

The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement. We hope to jump-start that movement right here, right now, and take it to a new level on July 7, 2007,” Gore said.”

Obviously one G-Man got inspired by another? Geldof, as in Irish Sir Bob of both 1985’s “Live Aid” and 2005’s “Live 8” fame, laid the seed for Gore (you can call me Al) to lay the knowledge on the ppl and make them wanna do something about it!
