You may recall when a 69 year old lady from England died after suffering a heart attack while being taken to hospital by taxi after falling ill at Grantley Adams International Airport here, the reason they tried to use a taxi was due to local ambulances moving slower than snails in a deep freeze upside down.
She was the third visitor to die in 12 months after falling ill at the airport, now her relatives want to know why via an inquiry.
Meanwhile, The Barbados High Commission over in the UK is mum on the situation – nevertheless, from personal experience? There are two private ambulances and one public service, if you really want to get help then you have to leave out one private ambulance or use the public service if the injuries are non-life threatening!
