Arthur Holder retains his candidacy for the opposition Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) fight to regain the St Michael Central constituency.
Voting started about 5:45 p.m. and polls closed at 7 p.m. Before the final tally was announced, the Dwayne “DJ Bravo” Bravo song Champion blared from the speakers and supporters roared as Holder entered the room.
“There is no animosity in this team because this team has to be unified to win the next election,” Holder emphasised, as he paused to receive a bear hug from Haynes. “We will work as a unified team so let it be said to all and sundry, this is a unified team.”
Opposition leader Mia Mottley addressed the crowd about 8:30 p.m. and she saluted the democratic process, her full contribution will be scrutinised in a separate entry…
