The recently concluded second edition of ‘The Wedding Convention‘ was nothing short of a success as the event appeased the needs of local brides and grooms as well as the nation’s top bridal professionals while surpassing the standard set by its 2013 debut.

The event which took place at the Banquet and Conference Centre, Movie Towne, P.O.S. on September 27th & 28th attracted over 600 patrons who benefitted from make-overs and demos from the Power of Beauty Bridal Pamper Zone, a free DIY session with The Bead Café and free seminars from top wedding professionals throughout both days in a private, breakout room.

The 2 day extravaganza was also beneficial to several wedding service providers who had the opportunity to learn from Julie Albaugh, Editor WeddingMarketNews.com in a very interactive session on Sept 27th. During this session, Julie gave them tips and guidelines to market their businesses better and utilize social media more effectively for the wedding and event industry.

Much to everyone’s delight was the appearance of Terry Hall at The Bridal Brunch on Sept 28th. Terry who is well known from his role as Fashion Director at New York’s Kleinfeld Bridal (home of TLC‘s “Say Yes to the Dress“) gave brides insight into choosing the right gown and silhouette, an overview of designers’ offerings and did a comprehensive Q&A session.

Some highlights of this year’s event included a lucky bride winning a USD $2500 gift voucher towards her wedding gown purchase from Kleinfeld at The Bridal Brunch and a happy couple winning a grand prize of a photo booth rental from Great Events, a framed large canvas engagement photo print from Visual Technologies and luxury wedding day transportation from Transport Solutions.

Other lucky winners won date night packages from Movietowne, vouchers from Family Life T&T for relationship building seminars, hair and makeup vouchers from Madame Maharaj School of Cosmetology and The Power of Beauty, Swarovski tiaras from Stechers and more.
