POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING AT RICHMOND GAP, SUSPECT AT Q.E.H. UNDER TREATMENT

On Saturday 2nd August 2014 about 3:55 pm, Police Officers were on mobile patrol duty in Wilkinson Road, Richmond, Black Rock, St. Michael, when they encountered a man acting suspicious. Police Officers alighted from their vehicle and challenged the man who drew a gun and ran. The suspect pointed a firearm in the direction of a pursuing Police Officer.

Based on the information, Police Officers responded to the hospital where the suspect was held awaiting treatment for a gunshot injury. The injury is non-life threatening.
