FOLLOW-UP: Teen arrested for shooting at Glebe, in remand ’til September

Police have arrested and charged Julian Omari Cave, 19 years of Parish Land, St. George with the offences of:

1. Wounding with Intent;
2. Endangering Life and
3. Using a Firearm without a valid Licence.

About 3 am on July 26th, 2014, while at the Beer Fest event held at the Glebe Playing Field, St. George, an argument there led to the shooting of victims Jamario King, 18 years and Lavastin Callender, 50 years.

Jamario King received gunshot injuries to his upper body and collapsed; he was taken to the Q.E.H by a private motor vehicle where he underwent emergency surgery and was detained. Callender received a non life threatening wound to his stomach and sought private medical attention.

Cave appeared at the District B Magistrates Court on Monday 11th August 2014 and remanded until September 8th, 2014.
