1. Members of the Drug Squad on Saturday 19th July 2014 executed a search warrant at the residence of Clint Hurley, 38 years of Mission Gap, Brittons Cross Road, St. Michael and 104 cannabis plants were discovered under cultivation in his enclosed yard.

He was arrested and charged for:

1. Possession of Cannabis
2. Possession with intent to supply
3. Trafficking and
4. Cultivation

Hurley appeared at the District A Magistrates Court on Saturday July 19th and was fined $55,000 forthwith or 18 months in prison.

2. On Saturday July 19, 2014 an operation was carried out in the Ridge, St. Joseph area led by the Anti Gun Unit and assisted by the Marine and Special Services Units and members of the Barbados Defence Force.

The operation commenced at 10:00 am and concluded at 2:05 pm. 3000 cannabis plants were discovered under cultivation in a wooded area.

The well maintained plants were 1500 seedlings about 2 inches in height and 1500 trees ranging from 2 feet to 5 feet in height.

3. Members of the Drug Squad on Sunday 20th July 2014 executed a search warrant at the residence of Trevor Best, 40 years of Pine Plantation Road, St. Michael and 9 cannabis plants were discovered under cultivation in his enclosed yard. A loose quantity of cannabis was also discovered in his house. Total weight 4 lbs.

He was arrested and charged for:

1. Possession of Cannabis
2. Possession with intent to supply
3. Trafficking and
4. Cultivation

4. Members of the Drug Squad on Sunday July 20th 2014 executed a search warrant at the residence of Steve Sylvester Carter, 55 years of 46 Silver Hill Landing Scheme, Christ Church and 1.7 gms of cocaine and a small quantity of loose cannabis were discovered in his house.

He was arrested and charged for:

1. Possession of cannabis
2. Possession of cocaine
3. Trafficking in cocaine
4. Possession with intent to supply cocaine.

Best and Carter are expected to appear at the District A and the Oistins Magistrates Courts respectively, on Monday July 21st , 2014.
