GODDARD ENTERPRISES ENCOURAGES AND ASSISTS SCHOOL LEAVERS

Students of Class Four at St. Mary’s Primary School who are about to head to Secondary School recently got some valuable lessons, when members of the Goddard Enterprises team visited the school to share tips on the transition from Primary to Secondary level.

Rhonda Howell, Human Resource Manager of HIPAC Ltd and Michael Best, After Sales Manager of Courtesy Garage, in separate sessions with the children, gave valuable information and insight as to what to expect as they move into their new schools in September.

Ms. Howell of HIPAC suggested ways in which they can make new friends; advised them on various changes that are coming – including a greater volume of home work; and the need for good time management now that they are dealing with multiple teachers and subjects. She further told them of the value of extracurricular activities and encouraged them to nurture a love for reading as it is the basis of all learning.

Michael Best of Courtesy Garage, on the other hand dealt with the softer side as he spoke to the students about taking responsibility, giving them examples to which they could relate in a lively and interactive session.

In addition to the informative sessions, Goddard Enterprises also continued its tradition of awarding two students for excellent work ethic and positive attitude with the Goddard Scholarships 2014. Alisha Nash and Renaco Griffith were presented with their trophies at the recent graduation ceremony held at the New Testament Church of God. The two will also receive a cash contribution to assist in the purchase of their new uniforms and school supplies as they make the transition to Secondary School.
