Local and visiting football fans can look forward to an exciting time with Barbados Yellow Pages when the FIFA World Cup Football Tournament kicks off on June 12, 2014.

Barbados Yellow Pages will host the first of several events in its ‘Predict A Yellow‘ Competition on the opening day of the world’s largest football tournament at Lucky Horseshoe Bagatelle to add to the hype and excitement of the month long tournament.

Participants of ‘Predict A Yellow‘ will receive free noise makers, football prizes and have the chance to win spot prizes including free rounds of drinks. ‘Predict A Yellow‘ will be officiated by “umpires” adorned in Yellow and Black who will issue yellow cards to fans so they can have a chance to ‘Predict A Yellow’ by answering two easy questions: Which team will get the first yellow card?; Which team will win the game?

Completed cards will be collected and placed in a highlighted box; and at half time and at the end of each game, the “umpires” will draw yellow cards from the box until they find the correct predictions.

Winners have a chance to collect several attractive football prizes including yellow football socks, yellow whistles, official FIFA footballs and vouchers for football jerseys. Special prizes will also be given to the most creatively dressed fan.

Barbados Yellow Pages will host over 20 ‘Predict A Yellow‘ events at Lucky Horseshoe Bagatelle throughout the FIFA World Cup Football Tournament which Marketing Manager of Barbados Yellow Pages, Pam Roach says is designed to encourage fans to visit a comfortable location and enjoy the atmosphere of fun rivalry:

“We know that many fans will be tuned into the FIFA World Cup Football Tournament because it is a special world-class event, thus we are proud to partner with Lucky Horseshoe to create lasting, enjoyable memories for fans who will be treated to several planned and on the spot exciting football prizes”.

The competition will also be extended to the Barbados Yellow Pages Facebook site where persons will also have an opportunity to participate in ‘Predict A Yellow‘.
