MORE BONES FOUND – BURNT CH. CH. CANEFIELD YIELDS GRISLY HARVEST

Police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found in a burnt canefield at Bentley, Christ Church, about 8:45 am on Friday 23rd May 2014.

Workers of the BAMC were in the process of harvesting the field called ‘Pasture Field‘ on the Plantation when their discovered the remains and called the police. The gender could not be determined.

Investigations are continuing to establish the identity and the cause of death.

Drug Eradication

A drug eradication operation by the Drug Squad, and supported by the Police Marine Unit was conducted in a large area between the communities of Waterford and Codrington, St. Michael, and 1,485 cannabis plants were discovered under cultivation. This operation begun at 6:30 am.

These plants ranged in heights of 2 inches to 1 foot. There were no arrests connected with this seizure.
